Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar, passing terraced fields, rivers, and rural villages. From Arughat, continue along a rough dirt road via Soti Khola to Machha Khola, situated beside the Budhi Gandaki River. This long day’s drive sets you up for the trek.

Follow the Budhi Gandaki Gorge, crossing suspension bridges and enjoying forested trails where langur monkeys are often seen. Pass Khorlabesi, Tatopani (hot springs), and Dovan before reaching the cultural village of Jagat, the first Tibetan-influenced settlement on the route.

Optional: Dry season: vehicle is accessble up to Jagat as well.
