After landing, begin a picturesque 4-hour drive to Dadeldhura, a charming hill town surrounded by pine forests and offering panoramic views of Api and Saipal Himal ranges. This town also reflects the rich culture of the Far West, where you’ll see both Hindu temples and lively bazaars.
After breakfast, continue your journey by road. The 6-hour drive takes you through winding mountain roads, terraced hillsides, and traditional villages. You’ll reach Jadanga or next to Martadi, the district headquarters of Bajura, which serves as the gateway to Badimalika. From here trek starts.
Your trekking adventure begins today with a steady uphill walk through farmlands, pine and oak forests, and scattered settlements. Along the way, you’ll encounter locals busy in their fields, friendly children, and sweeping mountain landscapes. Today’s walk provides your first immersive experience into the untouched beauty of Far West Nepal.
The trail climbs higher into alpine terrain, where forests give way to pastures and open meadows. The walk is challenging yet rewarding, with yaks grazing and snowy peaks appearing in the distance. By evening, you’ll reach Triveni, a sacred pilgrimage site where three holy rivers converge. This campsite is considered spiritually powerful and attracts pilgrims from across Nepal.
Today is reserved for acclimatization and exploration. You may take short hikes around Triveni Patan, practice meditation or yoga, and interact with pilgrims who often share fascinating stories about the temple’s spiritual significance. This is the most awaited day of the trek. Following a panoramic ridgeline trail, you ascend gradually towards the sacred Badimalika Temple.
